Turton Tower

Turton Tower was first built as a simple stone building 600 years ago. Over the centuries, the families that lived here extended the house, with wooden cruck frame additions added in the late 1500's - early 1600's (Tudor period) and Gothic style additions in the mid 1800's (Victorian period). Today, Turton Tower is 'owned' by Blackburn with Darwen Council and welcomes visitors to look around this grade 1 listed historic house. Opening Times: 29th March - 29th October every Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 4pm and every Bank Holiday.
