Do you want to learn to grow food? Are you on a waiting list for an allotment? Now's your chance to get your hands dirty! We are running a campaign called 'Grow Another Row', as we are on a mission to encourage seasonal, locally grown, nutrient dense fruits, salad and vegetables to be on local plates. Food grown on allotments are often too plentiful for it all to be eaten by the allotment owner, family and friends, so it often goes to ground or put in compost heaps. We are looking for volunteers that can help gather the excess grown food at the time of harvest and also to help to plant seeds, assist in the maintenance of allotment. This is great experience for anyone on a waiting list for an allotment and wanting to know more about planting and growing your own. It's also a great activity to meet people, be more mobile and get moving!
